5. What kind of experience or background do you have with writing? I kept a diary when I was younger. Does that count? :)
6. Talk about how you come up with blog topics. Where do you get your ideas? My experiences, reads, talks with friends, finds around the net, even from spams like the one I recently got from Oklahoma City lawyers.
7. What or who inspires you and your blog? The ability to be my own writer, editor and publisher.
8. Where and/or how do your brainstorming for your blog? Just inside my head. :)

Health Insurance to the Rescue

Yesterday, we visited a colleague who was confined in a hospital. She shared that there was no private room available upon her arrival so she initially had to stay at the ward. Good thing a room was vacated a day after she checked-in. She need not worry about her bills because the university already got us all a health insurance plan from the country’s leading health insurance plan provider. They even claim that their services and standards are at par with those of Blue Advantage. And we agree. We submitted our documents and application forms a little before classed ended and after a week, a colleague was able to avail of the insurance for his hospitalized son. Nice!

Gadget Stores in Multiply

I was looking for gadgets stores in Multiply this afternoon and I stumbled upon two more: JENNIFERLAMANILAO and DBGADGETS. I am already aware of KIMSTORE but the unit that I have been intending to buy is currently unavailable. I researched about feedbacks and checked both stores. I then sent an SMS to Jen of JENNIFERLAMANILAO inquiring about my preferred item. She was very patient in answering my questions. H

Missing Her

We were having our planning session today, I received an SMS from our office secretary’s daughter saying that her mom is admitted at the hospital. Yesterday, she was diagnosed with schemia, diabetes and UTI but refused confinement. She lost consciousness this morning, the very reason why the doctor now imposed hospitalization. I feel for her. She has been a dedicated worker. Professionally, there is nothing that I can complain about her. She comes on time, very diligent and sympathetic. I hope to go and visit her tomorrow. She has been feeling down and that is understandable. Being surrounded by friends and family will somehow ease the burden. It is my prayer that she recovers quickly. The office is not the same without her this week.

Kimmy Dora

I had my dose of laughter today, thanks to the hilarious movie entitled Kimmy Dora. Eugene Domingo is one funny lady! The plot is so simple and yet their lines cracked me up. But I had to turn off the TV and DVD player because I was blogging and I can’t concentrate.! Blogging comes first but I eventually finished my posts and returned to watching.

Friends have been raving about this movie. That is why I had to watch it so that I can relate to them whenever they talk about the movie. They are saying that a sequel of the movie will be shown this year. I will make sure that I won’t be the last one to see it. :p

Her Secret

Compared to her contemporaries, one of our retirees at the university looks and definitely feels younger. I had an opportunity to talk to her last year when she visited our office. I asked what her secret is. Is it human growth hormone supplements? Definitely not, she said. It is her positive outlook in life and faith in the Almighty. She looks for ways to make others feel good about themselves. She is always grateful. She prays. She serves others. She loves. And she doesn’t expect anything in return. She is one happy and contented woman who lives a fulfilled life dedicated to service to God and His creation. That is her secret.

That is the line that I heard when I passed by the students’ lounge this afternoon. There were some students in one of the tables and they were teasing their friend who was already suffering from severe public humiliation and embarrassment. His problem? A Special Task

I am being assigned with another special task at the university and that is to serve as one of the documenters in an upcoming consultation with some LGU officials early next month. The output will be of help to the GRP-MILF peace panel when they decide to meet again.

As one of the partners, the university is tasked to provide facilitators and documenters. The initial schedule was set on Tuesday and Wednesday next week but it was postponed on February. We had our initial orientation last Saturday and a final one this afternoon.

I feel honored and privileged to be chosen to join the group. Other members include two of my college professors, former officemates and friends from the university. These friends are the funniest! During our coffee break, one of them shared a joke about the best way to lose weight and we all laughed our hearts out. We were so noisy, a colleague who was not included in the conversation sssh-ed us!

Anyway, I am a bit nervous about my task because documenting discussions was never my forte. But I can definitely pull it off. If there’s a will, there’s a way!

She Can’t Sleep

While checking what’s happening in the lives of my friends through Facebook, I noticed that one friend stated that she finds it difficult to sleep these days that is why her doctor prescribed sleeping pills to get her to sleep. She is so stressed because of the demands of her work and graduate studies. Aside from that, she is also facing some family problems. So it’s no wonder that sleep for her is evasive. I feel for my friend and I hope that things will get better for her soon.

Late Night Visitors

I was supposed to sleep early tonight because of my eyes’ condition. I planned to finish some tasks before finally hitting the hay at around 9 PM when somebody arrived. It was my older cousin, his wife and their cute little boy named Jyrus who is already wearing his pyjamas. It was a delight to have them. They live nearby and my cousin shared that they seemed to miss us thus the visit. Unfortunately, DD is already asleep so she had no chance to play with the little boy.

Jyrus enjoyed the gelatin that I gave him while his mom and I were sharing tips on how to prevent adult acne. It is one problem that she has been dealing with lately, she said. Surely, staying up late to watch her favorite soap operas does not help. Haha! On the other hand, my cousin was forcing the little boy to show some antics but it seems that Jyrus was not in the mood. They went home after an hour with a promise to pay us a visit this weekend. Yay!

Meeting Liz

Last January 2, I was able to meet once again, my longtime friend whom I met online some years back. Her name is Liz and she is the one who taught me how to digiscrap. Mark, drove us to Serendra all the way from Pampanga. Wes, Mark, Therese and Andre’ (my younger brother) went to Market, Market for snacks while Liz and I (and her friend, Mark) were having our catching up at Mary Grace’s. We talked about a lot of things. From the kids’ education to the best ellipticals. It was really nice to be meeting her and talking to her once again. I wish we could do that often. ;)

I don’t actually believe that I am one. Haha! But that’s what the survey says so let it be. :D

New House!

Allow me to show to you the place where we stayed for more than two weeks:
Nice eh? (But pardon the shot and the two clueless models. Haha! This is just a 3/4 of the entire house. This is the most decent one that I have as of now.) Anyway, this is where my parents and siblings in-law live. Hopefully, the house blessing will be done next month. It should have been done last January 1 but some things still need to be installed, constructed, attached, etc. A home insurance agent needs to be contacted too very soon.

Well, aside from our room my favorite areas include the dining room (of course!), the living room and the lanai (at the left side). The lanai is one nice place to just hang out, eat and talk. There is a falls and a fish pond where some Japanese kois reside. A mini shrine is being built there too.

It is a very lovely place to stay, really. Thanks to Asley and Mark! :)
