Outside my window… a silent and starry night.
I am thinking… of how exciting our 13 days have been.
I am thankful for… a fabulous and blessed December 2011.
From the kitchen… my father’s cooking – my favorites of course! Various fishes and lobster. Tomorrow, we’ll have crabs. Yay!
I am wearing… the usual tank top and shorts.
I am creating… some blog posts.
I am going…to attend a grand reunion tomorrow, meet some high school friends and if the schedule permits, meet more friends!
I am reading… Facebook updates? Smile with tongue out
I am hoping…to have the energy to visit the mall on January 1. We are planning to buy a new refrigerator for the new house, some new books for the girl, eyelash growth products for yours truly and a new belt for the husband.
I am hearing… the crickets.
Around the house… the kid and her Dad playing their favorite game on the iPod.
One of my favorite things… for a change, my monstrous camera. The DSLR. It has been my companion during the various events that we’ve attended though it’s quite heavy.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Finish our version of “Amazing Race” per a friend of mine.
A picture I love: Taken by the husband during our tour at the Island of Corregidor on my birthday:

A Fresh Start All Throughout the Year

2011 is about to end and just like last year, I intend to do better next year whether it’s work, health, family life or hobbies. I already have my list on my mind and obviously, I am not skeptic when it comes to New Year’s resolution. Yes, people make them and break them. But it is good that we are given a new year to start all over again, don’t you think?

In fact, I am grateful for the opportunity to have a fresh start whenever we want, not just during the New Year.

Next Year

>> Monday, December 19, 2011

One year ago, I was able to reach my target weight and wear something to show it off! It was not really tough since all I had to do is limit my carbo intake and exercise religiously. Unfortunately, after a year, I can’t tell you that I have maintained that ideal weight because I have not! Lack of motivation and will power was my nemesis! I even told a friend of mine that if will power is sold online like the auto estimating software he’s selling, I would be the first one to hoard the product!

It is my strong conviction that everything begins in the mind. Thus, if I myself am convinced that I can do it and achieve it, I certainly can! That will move me to act and move. And I intend to do better next year. It’s a good thing that there is always a “next year” so we can do better, don’t you think?

Symphony of Lights and Sound

We are currently staying here at the Metro to meet some friends in various get-together activities.  Later today, we will be viewing the Symphony of Lights and Sound at the Ayala Triangle, along with some of my friends. One of them has been raving about it and insisted on going there since last week. We were unable to do so last weekend because of the bad weather so we are hoping that tonight is THE night.

Happy Monday, y’all!

Cold Sunday

>> Sunday, December 4, 2011

Two occurrences happening on a weekend – raining and I am sick, make me unhappy. I like rain, I really do. Especially when we are all home. The weather is perfect for sleeping and snuggling and a hot cup of chocolate. But not cold enough to require an electric blanket. Unfortunately, I have been having a bad throat since Friday evening due to the weather. It got worse upon waking up today that I had to stay up all day in bed and sleep, thanks to my medicines. It is a good thing since I have trouble sleeping during weeknights.

But one thing about all these is that the husband is home and he is taking good care of me. We just discovered that he’ll make a good doctor and he sometimes think that he’s one since he’s been working with doctors for about two years now. Hahahaha!
Anyway, I am looking forward to a great week. I know it will be. Smile
